Key Terms & Conditions for Referring Practitioners

These terms apply to healthcare practitioners who use the Radly referral portal (the "Referral Portal") to refer patients for diagnostic imaging. They apply in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Radly is operated by Radly Pty Ltd (ABN 93 698 488 407).

1. What the Referral Portal is

The Referral Portal lets registered healthcare practitioners create and send imaging referrals for their patients to diagnostic imaging providers listed on Radly. Radly is a technology platform, not a healthcare provider: we do not perform imaging, review the clinical appropriateness of referrals, or provide medical advice. The imaging clinic that receives your patient remains responsible for its own protocols, screening and the conduct of the examination.

2. Your eligibility and registration

By using the Referral Portal you confirm that you hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the applicable national registration body for your profession, and that you will only refer for imaging that is within your legal and professional scope of practice.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the practitioner details on your account, including your name, profession, AHPRA registration number and Medicare provider number. Whether an examination attracts a Medicare rebate depends on your profession, your provider number and the Medicare Benefits Schedule — Radly does not determine or guarantee rebate eligibility. We may verify your details against public registers and may suspend or close accounts that cannot be verified.

3. Your clinical responsibilities

Each referral you create is your clinical decision. You confirm that every referral is for a genuine patient under your care, is clinically justified, and contains accurate patient and clinical information. Examinations involving ionising radiation or contrast must be justified by you in accordance with your professional obligations.

If, after submitting a referral, you become aware of any information that might affect the patient's ability to safely undergo the examination (for example pregnancy, allergies, renal function or implanted devices), you agree to contact the imaging clinic and the patient promptly.

4. Bookings and results

Referrals sent through Radly are booking requests until confirmed by the imaging clinic. Appointment times, preparation instructions, fees and any out-of-pocket costs are set by the clinic, not by Radly. Reports and images are produced and delivered by the imaging provider; where results are made available to you through Radly, you remain responsible for reviewing them and following up with your patient in line with your professional obligations.

5. Patient information and privacy

You must only enter patient information into the Referral Portal for the purpose of making and administering genuine referrals, and only where you are authorised to do so. You agree to handle all information accessed through Radly in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and any state or territory health records legislation that applies to you. Do not share your account or login with others; practice staff should use their own accounts.

6. Acceptable use and termination

The Referral Portal is free for referring practitioners. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, including fabricated referrals, unverifiable registration details, privacy breaches, or use of the portal for any purpose other than referring and managing imaging for your patients. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@radly.com.au.
