Today I attended Capital Radiology for my baby's ultrasound scan. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the way we were treated by the reception staff. One of the receptionists called us in a very loud voice without even saying "excuse me" or speaking politely. We felt that the communication was disrespectful and unprofessional. If the CCTV footage is reviewed, I believe it will show the behaviour of the reception staff during our visit. In particular, I was concerned about the conduct of the two receptionists wearing black headscarves. My complaint is about their behaviour and the way they treated us, not about their religion or appearance. Patients should always be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. My wife is pregnant, and pregnancy can be a physically and emotionally challenging time. Healthcare reception staff are often the first people patients interact with, so speaking in a calm, gentle, and respectful manner can make a significant difference to a patient's experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure all patients are treated with courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in the future.
