I have nothing but praise for all the people I came into contact with here. I was treated with respect and kindness and though I was one of many, we were all treated as individuals. The doctor I had for my treatment took the time to ask me questions before the procedure and afterwards was courtesy itself as he showed me on the screen the reasons for my pain. I would give more than 5* if I could.
The reception staff are helpful and friendly unlike the person who completed my Ultrasound in early May this year. His bedside manner was deplorable and he wouldn't listen to my directions as to where the pain in my foot was, he imaged everywhere except where I was directing him & in-turned missed the real reason for my pain & in-turn I've made my injury worse as I've been walking around on it for 2 weeks & added extra time to my recovery. If he opened his mouth & communicated & actually listened to his patients then maybe my correct diagnosis would have been made early & I wouldn't have made the injury & pain worse.
Here's a polished Google review version that keeps the substance of your experience while making it clearer and more effective for readers: Writing ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) Sadly, from the moment I heard the automated phone message warning callers about aggressive behaviour towards staff, I had a feeling the patient experience might not be great. Unfortunately, my experience proved that concern justified. When I first contacted Capital Radiology, I was asked to email my referral, which I arranged through my surgeon's rooms. The referral was sent, but after hearing nothing the following day, I took the initiative to upload it myself through their website using the instructions provided. I received an acknowledgement email and reasonably assumed someone would contact me. After waiting until the end of the day with no response, I called again and eventually spoke with a staff member who was polite and courteous. However, I was surprised to be told that critical information from my referral was missing because the file attachment was supposedly corrupted. This was puzzling, as the acknowledgement email I had received contained a perfectly readable copy of the referral. As we worked through the issue, I was informed that the earliest available appointment was two weeks away because a doctor needed to be present during the examination due to the severity of my injury. Given the urgency of my situation, that timeframe was simply not acceptable, so I decided not to proceed and ended the call. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I then continued receiving repeated text messages asking me to call and make an appointment, despite already deciding not to proceed. I subsequently contacted another radiology provider who was far more patient-focused. They were able to offer an appointment within the required timeframe and were genuinely empathetic about my situation. Overall, I found Capital Radiology lacking in communication, urgency, and patient-centred care. While the staff member I spoke with was professional, the overall process felt bureaucratic and impersonal. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this provider.
Generally, Capital Radiology — Berwick has appointments available on Radly within 1 week.
